Overview
Edgewater hosts small groups of 12 to 15 guests for fully hosted retreats with well-known artists, chef-prepared meals, yoga and massage, all under the theme “The Art of Letting Go”.
My Role
My role covered building the retreat pages, the storytelling on The Experience page, the gallery and FAQ, and keeping the image-heavy pages fast.
What I Built
- Lakeside hero with the “The Art of Letting Go” message and two calls to action
- Retreat listings with featured artists, dates, availability and pricing
- The Experience page covering meals, yoga, massage and airport pickup
- Gallery, FAQ and contact pages
- Artist portal login and booking/registration links
Challenges & Solutions
- Selling a premium experience online: I used immersive imagery and clear explanations of what each retreat includes.
- Retreats change often: I built a listing structure the client can update easily without touching the layout.
- A heavy photo gallery: I used WebP and responsive images to keep pages fast.
